Temple Sholom was one of eight winners from all across North America of the 2015 Union for Reform Judaism’s Belin Outreach and Membership Awards.
The selection committee felt East Side Jews was an exceptional example of how a community can welcome and engage people in new and creative ways. Temple Sholom received $1,000 to continue to support the East Side Jews program, and was formally recognized for this achievement at the 2015 URJ Biennial in Orlando, FL.

Would you want all efforts made to sustain your life? Are there any skills or abilities that are so critical to you that you wouldn’t want to live without? What sorts of trade offs might you be willing to undergo for the possibility of more time? Who would make these decisions and what might get in the way of you receiving the type of care that you’d want in the situation at hand?
There are actually several things that you can do to set yourself up to ensure that you receive the type of care you’d want for yourself should you be unable to speak for yourself.
Come meet with fellow Temple Sholom community members and Social Workers Jenny Hyman (MSW, RSW) and Debbie Litvack (MSW, RSW) to hear about how to set yourself up to receive the care you’d want for yourself.
