Family Shabbat at Grays Park
Friday, July 25 at 5:30 pm at 4850 St Catherines St, Vancouver
Young families are invited to join us at the park for a family-friendly service, sing-along, and a Shabbat story, led by Rabbi Dan and our song-leader, Annette Kozicki.
Registration is not required - just show up and bring your own picnic (optional) and a blanket!
You hear it on TV, in movies, on stage, and even from some buskers in our fine city. We all know opera is everywhere now, but how did that happen?
Join scintillating soprano Chloé Hurst and scruffy baritone Aaron Durand on a 250-year journey through this beautiful art form. Together, we'll explore the first comedic opera, sparkling bel canto music, lush and romantic Czech writing, and so much more. This is Opera 101 Vancouver!
Lunch is hosted by the Jewish Women International Foundation BC (JWI BC), in memory of Sara Ciacci z"l and her legacy of supporting food security in Vancouver. Donations to Temple Sholom's Caring Community Fund, in honour of Sara's legacy, at the time of registration will be greatly appreciated.
Lunch provided by Nava Creative Kosher Cuisine:
OPTION 1: Egg salad sandwiches on soft bread
OPTION 2: Roasted vegetables and hummus on soft bread (Vegan)
Served with orange coleslawFruit platter for dessert
Registration is required to attend as there is limited space available.
